Park Meets
During the Summer we meet regularly at various parks for sunshine and a play. Please check below to see which park we are at next and the facilities it has to offer. The dates are all weather dependant - please check for updates on our yahoo group.

Dunorlan Park
With its beautiful lake where you may hire a boat - rowing or peddle! They offer a reduced rate to Home educators which is £4 per half hour on the water instead of £6. You can get 4 or 5 in a boat so if shared with another family is a great offer - though sometimes they need reminding! :) There is also a cafe, with some outside cover underneath in case of rain!!

Grosvenor and Hilbert Park
Grosvenor Park - has a play park, bowling green, small lake, basketball court with 2 hoops and football area, childrens bicycle loop and pavillion. Toilets are next to the play area as is the Cafe which is reasonably priced!
Hilbert Park - adjoins Grosvenor Park, it is an extensive grassed open space. There is an exciting wheeled sports area suitable for skateboards, BMX bikes and rollerblades.
Hilbert Woods and adjoining grass areas are designated Local Nature Reserve managed by Kent High Weald Partnership www.khwp.org.uk

Southborough - Pennington Grounds
This recreation ground has something for everyone. This lovely clean and tidy area offers a safe environment for accompanied childrens play or space for relaxation with a good book. In the summer why not bring a picnic. There is a childrens play area with its variety of play equipment for all ages, including a climbing net for the over 8's, crazy golf, an outdoor table tennis table, not forgetting the four hard tennis courts. The bowls green with its on site pavilion, home of the Southborough Bowls Club is well used during the summer months. Refreshments are available from the kiosk. The Grounds open from 8.00 a.m. daily and close at sunset. St John's Park
This is a lovely park with many facilities - 3 tennis courts, play area, skateboard area with ramps, meadow and fields to walk round. The play area also currently has a working water pump in the sandpit so you may want to pack a change of clothes or you wet weather things!!
There are plans to build a cafe but the shops are only a few minutes walk away.

Calverley Park
This has is a beautiful gardens park with shrubs and tress for the children to play or hide in. The bandstand has unfortunately been taken down now. There is a reasonably priced cafe selling hot meals and drinks. there are also 3 tennis courts and a basketball court.

The Grove
Not a park, but one of the town's most attractive and tranquil green spaces, the Grove lies at the centre of the Mount Sion 'village' area, off the High Street, and features an excellent children's play area.
Tonbridge Park
The main play park in Tonbridge, near the hall and the swimming Pool. Has a large selection of climbing frames, a sand pit and zip wires as well as the usual swings, slides and roundabouts. Nearby are tennis courts and a mini crazy golf!
